A MINING BILL.
(special to "the press.") WELLINGTON. September 24. In explaining the Mining Act Amend ment Bill, introduced by Governor's' Message in the House of Representatives to-night, the Hon. W. D. * Donald, Minister of Mines, stated that it provided for Government advancing money for the construction of water-races, and secured to the Government tho right of making renewals. It also provided that the Minister of Mines might acquire mining privileges in the. faTnA m»innr &a private persons.
