A number of prominent business men in Glasgow, Aberdeen, and Liverpool asked Sir Robert Borden to use his influonco to put pressure on the British Government to induco it to accord justico to Canadian meat in. terests bv removing tho embargo on the importation of Canadian cattle. Sir Robert Borden pointed out that equally with English peoplo Canadians were jealous of tho self-government entrusted to them. It would ill become a. Canadian in a representative capacity to make a suggestion of tho kind.
