A jnmfclc sale in aid of the Woolston Red Cross Fund will bo hold in the Druids' Hall on Saturday afternoon. Tho -Canterbury Fruitgrowers' Association will meet in the Druids' Hall on Saturday night. A concert for the benefit of the widow of the late Mr N. Young will be given in the Methodist schoolrooip. Brougham street, Sydenham, to-morrow night. An issue of £30.000 in debentures of £100 each by the Oamaru Borough Council is The debentures will bear interest at a per cent., freo of exchange, and will be secured by a special rate over the total rateable property in the borough in addition to the assured incomo from the sale of oloctrio current from the electrical schemc for which the moncv is required. Applications for debentures must be made by noon otl September Ist.
