That gentleman has consented, and much satisfaction is expressed in cricket circles, for ho lias had a lot of experience, and is deservedly popular. Mr F\ M. Martin. Hon. treasurer of th© ■Wellington Cricket Association, write® to a Wellington paper:—"As I have enlisted in tho forces, and may lie called no shortly, I iim preparing the annual balance-sheet of the Association for presentation to the commitnext week. The Association has for years past boon confronted with the difficulties of finance, but in now approaching a position which will enabio it to discharge its liabilities.
