THE CAMEROONS.
A FRENCH SUCCESS. ! NATIVES RISE AGAINST THE GERMANS. PARIS, July 27. The French, after a brilliant engagement, occupied tho important'town of Lome, in the Cameroons. The German troops mutinied and deserted. The whole of the Nemen district has risen against tho Germans, demonstrating in favour of the Allies. Tho Germans are retreating, burning aud destroying property. The French are vigorously advancing, and havo joined another French column to the north as far as Noangela.
