"Wo are having a trood time here," writes Private Aubrey Johnson of the Canterbury Infantry Battalion to his parents in Christehurch in a letter dated June Ith. "I think we shall be a vay for some time yet. Roy Johnson was in my little house last night for two hours, and Frank Cooper and T>ick' Jamieson have been here three days. I often .see Senior and Webb, and I see Laurie and Tavender every day. I believe when we finsh hero we will go to England for a while."
