Tho hearing -of the.charges against o.in Robert Henderson, captain and adjutant of tho l.th South Otago Regimant, was continued in the Police] Court to-day. Tho linst count proceeded J with was the partly heard one that, on j . nbout Jnno 10th, 1012, he did steal ; C'Jo 6s. portion of a sum of £1292 9s 6d j. paid him on behalf of tho Government ',, for payment to the officers and men J of: tho" regiment in camp at .-Milton. . The second cbairgo was that, on November 9th. 1912, at Milton, tho accused j did steal 30s. an amount received by i him for a, military belt. The third charge was of stealing £7 8s 6d, portion of a chequo for £20 paid to a Milton carter. The allegation was that £7 8s Cd was tho accused's private account with tho carter, and that he paid ■ tho whole amount ; with regimental j funds. Accused reserved his defence on each 1 of tho three charges, and was com- j mitted for trial. I
