(Before Captain R. Hatchwell and Mr W. C. Smith, J.P.'s.) DRUNKENNESS. A first offender, Avho had been remanded for a week's medical treatment, wa« fined 5s and ordored to pay 20s medical expenses. A BY-LAW CASE. Francis Lnfaro charged with allowiiia a horse to graze on Jackson's road, contrary to the by-laws of the Lvttelton Borough Council, was convicted and discharged. A WATERSIDE QUARREL. Joseph Harvey was charged with assaulting Arthur Driscoll on the steamer Poherua on Saturday last. The Bench said that tho evidence was too confusing to show who was the aggressor, and dismissed the case.
