REPORTED FIGHT OFF MOUTH OF THE THAMES. FOUR AEROPLANES BELIEVED TO HAVE BEEN LOST. " j (Received July 23rd, 1.-15 a.m.) \ NEW YORK, July 22. Messages from London report that three German Taubo aeroplanes were
destroyed during an air battle witn j twelve British aeroplanes at the mouth I of the Thames. Tho Germans intended to raid the English coast, but observers warned the British-aviators, who attacked in pairs, cutting off the enemy's retreat. Thousands of spectators caw two Tanbes plunge into tho w-a. On the following day, boats found a third German machine with the occupants strapped to their scats, and bullet holes in their heads. A fourth. Taubo is also reported to havo boon lost.
