THE FERRY SERVICE.
PATEENA DETAINED IN WELLINGTON. UNABLE TO SECURE A NEW CREW. (rRKSS ASSOCIATION TFXKORAM.) WELLINGTON. July 22. Owing to inability to secure sufficient men, the ferry steamer Pateena, which was to have left at 7.50 to-nicht for Lyttelton, was unable to get away. Her crow was signed off to-day owing to a projected chango in the vessel's runaingj, and whon a new crew was wauted no "men camo forward. In view of the detention of the Pateena in Wellington, tho Moeraki will act as the ferry steamer from Lyttolton to-night.
