The first matineo will be held on Saturday, when children will be admitted at half-price. Tho Ijox plan is at The Bristol. OPERA~HOUBE. A large audience last evening grepted "The Butterflies'' with continued laughter and applause. Tho- humorous songs and burlesques were very successful, while the instrumental items were enthusiastically received. A fixature of to-night's performance will ho the reappearance of Mr Jack Wajler, who will revive the famous "B'u& Hungarian Band ,, burlesque tor the last threo nights of the eeason. PICTURE ENTERTAINMENTS. The vocal picture. "Where is My Wandering Boy?" is the chief picture at His Majesty's Theatre this week, A Keystone comedy, "That Little Band of Gold," features Fatty, Mabel, and Ford ocirling, and causes much merriment. Tho programme- will be repeated to-night. In to-day's change of programme at the Queen's Theatre, two exceptional dramas are included, namely. 'The Heart Punch," the lending role in which is played by Jess Willard, the world's champion boxer, and conqueror of Jack Johnson, and "Following a Clue."* a girl detective two reels. The other films are "Ambrose. Little Hatchet" (Keystone), "With the French Army in Alsace," which has been approved by the French military authorities, and the latest "Patho Gazette." To-day at the Globe Theatre a strong series of pictures will be screened, and included, in the programme, is that solendid film. "Kronstndt, ,, a poworl'ul Russian military drama, adapted from the well-known story of Max. Pemberton. A new Keystone comedy will b<? screened for the first time. "Mabel's Latest Prank. ,, also a laucbable comedy, "Ladies' War," and "Pathe Gazette." There wn s a large attendance of patrons at the Sydenham Theatre last night, when the current programme was shown for the last time. To-night v new series of pictures will include the Vitagraph drama ''Good-byo, Summer," the "Pathe Gazette" '(war topical), "Tho Handicap of Beauty" (comedydrama), "Bully Boy No. G" (cartoon).' "Making a Sporting Rifle," "A Thief in the Night" (drama), and "Clothes Count" (comedy). Everybody's Theatre was again largely patronised at all sessions yestefday. The same films will be screened to-<lay. There -win be the usual bi-weekly change of programme at the Grand Theatre to-day, when tho following pictures will be shown : —'The Life of a Mother" (a. 'Nordisk drama, which 'S stated to bo, nDt>v« the ordinary), "The Phantom Warning" (Rex drama), "Britain's New Aitqj' in Training," "Love and Trouble" (comic), and '"All Aboard" (comic). OLYMTIA RINK. There were coqd, attendances of .skaters at the Olynipia Rink ' yesterday. To-day sessions will be held from 10 tn 12. 2.30 to 5, 5.30 to 7, and 7.30 to 10 p.m. The- hand will play in'the evening. On Wednesday evening next a fancy dross and poster carnival, in aid of the P«ed Cro*s Fund, will be held.
