THE LIVERPOOL CAMP.
GERMANS BETTER OFF THAN AUSTRALIAN TROOPS. (Received July 19th, 9.10 p.m.) * SYDNEY, July 19. At the Liverpool camp enquiry, Major Bandfe. Commandant of the German concentration camp, in his evidence, stated that tho latter camp wa3 on high ground, while the military camp was low-lying and subject to flooding and fogs. There had been no illness in the German camp, which was provided •with many conveniences, including unlimited hot water, food, mosquito nets, and electric lighting, and plenty of i-torm clothing, chiefly resultant from the profits of the canteen. Though provided with the same rations, the Germans got 20 per cent, more value than the Australians out of the food.
