A special statement say6:—"The «ncmy. on tho right banks of the Windawa and Wenta. is advancing in tho direction of Tukkum (oastward from Libau on tho Baltic). At Aliauz wo forced back tho enemy's infantry eastward of Popoliny. "Fierce fighting is -*ontinucd on a wide front on tho right bank of tho Oreoc. On Friday, three German rogiraentf., capturing tho village of Podosia, gained tho left bank of tho Orzcc, and took three Russian guns, but. in a further counter-attack the German forces were annihilated by tho bayonet, and the guns ro-taken and thc enemy expelled from Podosia. Siberian and Turkestan troops fought thore. The . enemy was double their strength, but they showed admirable valour and perseverance. J"Wo fell back in tbe Mlawa district to Ciechanow. the enemy having doublod his reserve "A Cossack Brigade, north-west of Radoin, captured 280 Austrians, and two machine-guns. "The enemy, between tho Vistula and tho Bug. ha. assumed a general offensive. The enemy, after stubborn fight- i ing, slightly progressed on the left bank of tho Vieprz.
