GERMAN OFFICIAL VERSION

(Received June 18th. 6.15 p.m.)

LONDON, June 17

A German official communique received by wireless from Berlin says :—

"Our naval airships on June 9th and 15th raided the north-east coast of England and dropped I—unbs on a fortified place on the coast, causing fires, and the destruction of industrial establishments, including smelting furnaces. Tho airships wero heavily fired upon but were unharmed. We silenced a coast battery."
