Tho "Daily Mail urges that the Government should hasten the production of machine-gums by placing orders without limit in Groat Britain, Canada, aud the United Suites. It says that tho Germans are virtually substituting men armed with machineguns for tho old-fashioned infantry, armed with rifles. Experience proves that tho army which attempts to tig til, uiachino-guns with rifles is committing tho same mistake as a man who attempt, to run a loot-race against a locomotive.
