TATTERSALL'S HORSE BAZAAR.
Mossr 6 H. Matson and Co. liad an entry of 47 horses on Saturday. With a few exceptions the quality was not good, and many good buyers had to leave the yard unsatisfied/Competition for all horses showing any signs of usefulness was" keen, and a very small proportion of the entry failed to £nd new owners. Following were some of tho principal sales made:—Account Sir George Clifford, Bart., Stonyhurst. four-year-old mare £24, four-year-old mare £23. aged marc £8 Ids, aged gelding £7 10s, three-year-old gelding £lf>; account J. F. Buchanan. Kinloch, six-year-old hack mare £17 10s; account Crocker Bros.. Yaldhurst. four-year-old golding £26 15s; account E. P. Bui-bury, aged gelding £10 10s, fouryear old mare £24: account Ellesmere client, three-year-old gelding £18; account S. Priest. Chanevs. eight-year-old mare £12. The usual collection of seasoned veterans, some of them badly battle-scarred, sold at from 10s upwards, the destination of several of this class being the fowlyard, in place of dear wheat and oats.
