There were smaller entries of fat ■stock than last week, especially of fat sheep and fat iambs. There was a fair attendance. Fat cattle, except prime heavy steer--, were easier. There was an improvement in fat lambs and fat sheep, and thfre was a fair demand for store sheep, of which there was a better class offerin-j. Pigs wore easier, and there was a poor sale for store cattle. STORE SHEEP. There was a modoralely good entry of store sheep, practically conlined to lambs and wethers. There were -several especially good lines of wethers, and competition was rather keener than was the case last week. Prices for Jambs showed a slight improvement. Wether-, especially forward sorts, wero in -ood request, and sold at a slight improvement on recent figures. Quotations are:— Good ewe lambs, 9s 9<l to 10s. Good lamb-.,. 8s '2d to l) s S*d. Medium lambs, 5s 6d to 7s 7d Cull lambs, 2s Id to 5s 6d. Good two-tooth wethers, 12 s 6d to Ms 3d. Medium two-tooth wethers lis lid to 12 s 3d. Forward four and six-tooth wethers. 15s lid to 18s 3d. There were only eight and a half races of fat sheep, as against eleven filled last week, ewes again forming the bulk of the offerings. The market opened at about last week's rates, but prices soon improved about Is per head, and in tome cases more. Tho competition was almost entirely confined to butchers, there being little business done by graziers.

The range of prices was:— Prime wethers, 20s to 24s 4d. Others, los 5d to 19s 6d. Merino wethers, 12s Gd to los. F.xtra prime 'ewes, to 2os 6d. Prime ewes, 16s Gd to 20s. Medium ewes, 13s 6d to lGs.
