GERMANS' USE GAS. A DOCTOR'S REPORT. ("Times" and "Sydney Sua" Service*.) (Received May 3rd, b" p.m.) LONDON. May 3. A medical correspondent in the North of France, after investigating the means of asphyxiation used by tho Germans, says that they choso gases after carefully experimenting with animals. Tho terrible suffering inflicted on our troops was fully understood and measured beforehand. It caused subtle poisoning in tho blood of tho patients, and in later stages diabetes. The patients suffered agony from choking and scorching in tho mouth and throat. He is led to believo from tarnished buttons and bayonets that chlorido and bromine were used.
