PARISHIONERS' MEETINGS.

ALL SAINTS , CHURCH, SUMNER. i Th© annual meeting of parisiiioners of Al! Saints' Church, Sunincr, was held in the parish room on Thursday evening, when th© Kcv. 11. ! Y'illianw. eenr., presided over a good attend- ] ar.c- Tho .financial etatcmont, which was | read and adopted, showed that the Surnnor receipts were £322 17a 4i and the expenditure £314 13s sd. and the Redcliffa receipts £38 17a sd, and tho expenditure £7 2a Bd, a credit balance of j£9 13a 8d on the accounts. ' j The Rev. H. "Wiliiame congratulated tho parishioners on iho present conditions of the.' parish and referred to the vicar's absence at Trentham and tho noble- work on which ho was engaged. A letter was received from the B«-v. Mackenzie Gibson regretting that it was not possible to Ret away to attend the moeting. The-K-ev.H, Williams also referred to; the work that was beinc done at the IJodcliffs day ecliool, where there was a class of 33. . A list of the names of the Suniner and Redcliffs boys who have gone to' tho front .vaj read out, end it wae decided to place ♦Ik! T.amee on the church door. ! The following vestry were elected for the' coming year:—Churchwarden, Mr E. G. Wood; vestry, Messrs H. A. Adley. A. L. F. Ledger, E. Denham. W. F. Tait. J. l>. Watson, J. M. B. Crawford, W. Bailley, C. Benjamin. E. Lindrose, and V. Browb. ST. PETER'S, KAIKOURA. The annual . meeting of tho parishioners of St. Peter's, Kaiioura. was held in St. Peter's echoolroom on Wednesday evening, the Key. A. J. Seaton presiding. Tho warden's accounts showed that with all the liabilities of tho yoar discharged, and the reduction of tho debt on the church by £45 (bringing that liability down to £55), there remained a debit of 12e 6d on the 1914-15 period transactions. The totalreceipts for tho year were £376 8s lid, offertories showing a substantial increase. This and the marked increased attendance at tho service*, , and the number of communicants, were points omphaeised in the report. The assistance rendered by the Misses Flower and .Tolineon, Mrs G. C. Mayne, Mr W. H. Comerford. and the Rev. A. J. Seaton in connexion with tho organ, tho members of tho choir. Mr Wm. v Harle (superintendent), and Messrs Bidcer and Stubbe-rafield, a« teachers in St" Peter's Sunday echoed., and Mr F. Barnes in that of St. Jamee'e, wae liearlily acknowledged. Tho aid of Mr G. G. Joliuston (people's warden), Mr. A. H. Stubbcrafield (honorary verger), the valuable assistance of the meuibcra of tbo Ladies* Guild, and the help of tho lay readers (Messrs H. J. Barratt and .Renner) were appreciatively recognieed, and subsequently formed the subject of votes of thanks. Apart from the fiiiancial success of the year, parishioners (expressed their "■ratification with the ministrations of their vicar.
