FIRES.
(TIIESS ASSOCTATION TELEGRAM.) AUCKLAND, March 26. A seven-roomed houso at Glonfi.id owned by Mr S. E. Taylor, was destroyed by fire with all its contents last night. Mr and Mrs Taylor and tho two children were in bod, and narrowly escaped. Tho hou.e was insured for £500 in tho National Insurance office, and the furniture for I'7o i" tho South British ofiice.
A t.wo_t_-o>*cd six-roomed wooden i house in Jackson's road, Lyttelton. was destroyed by firo ye-.torday afternoon. It was occupied by Mr Robert Limn, a watersido worker, and was owned by " Mr A. Wylie. of Kaiapoi. Tho furniture was insured for £150 in the -"tate office, and the building for £275 in the j Pho.nix ofiice. ■
