A general advocacy was made thie morning by the members of the Patriotic Committee thai the Governcio.il i should immediately take measures to compel all who could to contribute to the Patriotic Fund, or, failing that, the Government to augment tbo voluntary subscriptions to the cum required. The Mayor (Mr John Koberie), Mr J. A. Johnstone, and the Key. K. S. Gray were appointed delegates to attend tho Wellington Conference on Friday next.
