Neither Austria nor Germany lad offered to respect Greek interests. Tfbile the Allies had dono so. . The King, nevertheless, favoured neutrality. Later, M. Venizolos explained the position in tho Chamber, and fourifths of the members of all parties assured him of their confidence. if. VenizeJos received popular ovations in the streets, whore huge crowds .-demonstrated in favour of war. PARIS, March 8. Tho "Petit Parisieri ' says Greece aspires to possession of Smyrna, which •will probably bo given to her if she joins til© Entente.
A majority of tho newspapers consider that--the crisis merely delays Greece's entry into the war.
