•Tho Now Zealand Methodist .Conference was continued in. the Ihirham street Church yesterday, with tho president, tho Her. J. Damson, in the chair. STATIONING COMMITTEE. Conference considered tho second reading of tho list of stations, as presented for the second time by the Stationing Committee on Saturday.

The committee retired to consider suggestions mado in Conference for tho final reading.

NEW BUILDINGS AND ADDITIONS. Tho Rev. S. Lawrybrought down the report of tho Church Building and Loan Fund Committee. The report statec 1 that daring the year tho committee had acquired eight freehold sites, seven new churches and parsonages wero built, five now fJunday school halls, and one new bible-class Hall. Six churches had been onlarged. The principal new building were a church afc New Brighton (£1500), a parsonage at Taranaki street, Wellington £1900(, a parsonage at Kaiapoi (£1000), and a parsonage at Cambridge (£1200). The Church Building and Loan Fund Committee presented a report of the finances of current trust accounts. The total income, including balances from last year, amounting to £3617, was £51,151. Expenditure, including debit balances last year of £8540, amounted to £58,389. Crodit balances carried forward £1035; debit balances carried forward £11.220; debts to the loan fund £11,486; debtg on other securities £#7,351; debts reduced. £5339; debts increased £21,793; amount insured £330,7G6. Conference placed on record its of the loss sustained by tho death of Mr G. H. Blackwell '(Kaiapoi), who was treasurer of the fund for nearly 11 years, and it was decided to send a letter of sympathy to his family, expressing appreciation of his long and faithful services. Bowie. "METHODIST TIMES." The report of tho "Methodist Times" Committee was received, and a new schemo for publicalicu adopted. The Rev. W. J. Williams (.Woolston) was appointed editor, and the Rev. J. Cocker (Christchurch) associate editor. LITERATURE. The report of tho Conference Literaturo Committee was received. The committee reported that arrangements had been made to publish various pamphlets One on "What Methodism Stands For," had been published already. The Rev. W. Slade had promised to write a pamphlet on "Gambling."' and the Rev; A. B. Chappell one on "The Call for Social Service." NEXT CONFERENCE. It was decided to hold the next conference- in the* Pitt street Church, Auckland. CHAPLAINS ON TRANSPORTS. The Committee on Military and Naval Affairs recommended Conference to urge tho Government to sond one chaplain of some denomination with "very transport conveying the Expeditionary Forces. TRAINING CAMP WORK. It was decided to make .1 grant of £100 -from the Home Mission Fund, to be divided amongst the four districts of the Dominion, for work at the Territorial training camps. In this nexion Conference - recommended its ministers, -wherever possible, to associate themselves with the 01.C.A. and the other Evangelical churches. CHURCH ROLLS OF HONOUR. All churches were recommended by Conference to institute rolls of honour, on which, the names of all Moth. odkt Church members and adherenta shall bt! inscribed. It was agreed that the names of all students volunteering for active service bo placed on the president's list of reserve. CONTINGENT FUND. The treasurer of the Contingent Fund (Mr E. Roeevear) reported that the income of the fund for the past

year was £2830. The expenditure from the fund was £1900, leaving a credit balance of £930.- Tho cost of organising and carrying on conference was £324, of which £147 was spent in printing the agenda and minutes. FINANCE. The reports and balance-sheets on various Conference funds were presented and adopted. A long discussion took place on the affairs of the "Wellington Methodist Educational Trust Board, and the recommendation of tho special committee wae adopted. An enlarged committee was set rip to conduct further proceedings. Conference adjourned till 9.30 a.m. to-day, when the business will be concluded.
