SYDENHAM CLUB.

The seventeenth apnual meeting of the Sydenham Hockey Club waa held on Thursday. The club captain, Mr H. A. Throp, presided, over an attendance of about forty meml-Bis.

Tile secretary's annual report (showed a satisfactory state of affaira, and that th. club had won th© second g_ado competition, and had boon runneie up in both tho first and fifth grade*. Tho ladies' -junior "A" team had won their competition without a single 10-B. The club had won both tho iirst and eecond grade five-a-sido _mpotitions, and woro ruun-cra up in tho fifth. gracT.. The ladies had finished runners up in the. junior six-a-side tournament.

It waa unanimously decided to keep tho names of those members who had. gone to the front on tho' active mft-mbora' . roll until their return, appreciati.* leforeneo being mad© of their loyal duty to tho nation.
