It wag decided to hold the annual mooting on Thursday, April Bth. Nine new cases and a number of "old once wore then considered, and thi3 concluded tho business. SELWYX NUBSIXG-. DIVISION. _ Tho Selwyn Nursing Division of St. John Ambulance Brigade mot on Tuesday. The electicm of oCScers resulted as follows: — Lady Mrs Russell; first officer, Mra "Watkins; second officer, Mre Smith; third officer, Mrs Woodharn. After tho Tmsincss » pleasing function took place. Mrs Pappe, retiring (superintendent, was the recipient of a first aid cabinet, and Miss Lucas, retiring first officer, on tho occasion of her approaching marriage, was the recipient of a clock. LISTWOOD CONGREGATIONAL CHURCH. Notwithstanding tho inclement weather on Thursday evening, a very enjoyable time was spent by th« of the Linwood Conrogational Church in the Social Hall, Leydon street. Tho Rev. H. Allen Job, who presided, reported good noiraff rom their youn? men who wero with tho British forces* in .Egypt and Flanders. Mr Irvino Sladcn, who has recently returned from n. trip to England, wae. wekomed back, and pave n most interesting account of his travels abroad. During tho evening a new piano, which has b«?n installed in tho hall, wss formally opentd. A good programme of vocal and instrumental music, interspersed with recitatione, was provided, and refreshments wer© served by tho ladies., RIUGIiET LODGE, 1.0.0. F. Tho quarterly meeting of the Bidgloy Lodge, 1.0.0. F. (A.C.), was held on Wednesday, Bro. G-. Riekard, N.G., presiding over a large attendance of members and visitors. Four brothers were reported on the , eick fund, and two declared off. Sick pay wae paseed to two members. 'Correspondence was received from tho Friendly Societies' Card Association relative to this year's competitions, but owing to insufficient members being ablo to take part it was not doomed advisable to enter a team. An invitation was accepted from tho Washington Lodge to a. card match. Bro. E.. Eldvidjre, delegate to the United Friendly Societies' Dispeneary Committee, gave a very full Tcporfc of the annual meeting , , and also Teat! the annual report and balanoe-ehoct. Tho report, was received, and a motion congratulating tho board on tho splendid results attained was passed. A motion was pMfted congratulating , Bro. M. Hartigan on hie re-election 'as D.D.G.M. for the ensuing two years. The ofJicerfl and several members of the Encampment Lodge attended, and received a hearty welcome. Bro. W. Hunter (secretary) and Bro. L. 1 , . White ! (treasurer), who arc about to leax-e for Auckland to attend Grand I/ylge peseiotw, were granted leavo of absence.
