ST. AIrBANS UNIT. Good work ia being accomplished by the St. Albans Unit of tho Citizens' Defence Corpa, and the keencces of the members is ahown by the excellent musters at the weekly pciradee and by the fact that about fifty are constant in their attendance at the non-commissioned officere' ciaas. .Next Tueeday the Unit will make a route march to Burwood, ib* force assembling- at tho Garlton corner, BeiOey avenue, at 6.30 p.m. On arrival at Burwood outpost work will be don-e under war conditions. Already tho members of the Unit hay« had instruction in outpost duty, and have fcHown the greetest interest in il. LVTTELTOX UNIT. Several rri-inifxjrs of the Lyttolton Unit of the Citizens' Defence Corps met Private J. Patterson last night, and pr«**enVed him with a gold-Dioranted walking-stick, in appreciation of his services in taking charge of tho Unit which appeared &t tin) public parades last Saturdiy.
