WEST CHRISTCRURCH SCHOOL PICNIC.

The onnua.' picnic of the Wtst Chriatchureh School was held at the Ranpiora R<»cTeation Ground yesterday, "about 460 children and jpne hundred adults betn,<? in attendance. The journey wm mado to Rangiora by a social train, which left Chratchurch at 9.5 a.m. Although the weather prospects were rather doubtful in the morning, the day proved fine. A sports programme wae carried out in the afternoon, one of the items being a cricket match between the vieitors and the Rr\n?iora district school. Though the visitors won by 60 runs, they appreciated the spirit of the Rangiora boys in providing tiiem with a match. The officials of the picnic were Meaers J. 'Middleton, Bobson, Bultitude, P.
