Martins ■ has been blistered and turned out, and will not bo racing again until the "autumn. Acceptances for the Wellington Racing Club's Summer Mooting close tomorrow evening. A profit of between £500' and £600 was mado in connexion with tho Southland Racing Club's Summer Meeting. Canterbury Bello was sold at Klderslio at lOOgs • when carrying JJellshire, who won the two-year-old race on the second day of tho Oamaru Meeting. Though Tannhauser has not been showing any signs of lameness, one of his front, legs bears ■ a very doubtful look, and McGrath has decided to stoD working, him. Consequently ho ■ has been blistered in front, and is running in the paddock.
First Glance yesterday made her first appearance on tho-trncl; since sho came homo from her successful trip south. Sho looke in tho best of health, and is carrying more muscle than ever before. Sho was given half-pane work. It is understood that owing to. an error there was a shortage in tho dividend paid out on Ivan C. at tho Southland Meeting. The matter is receiving attention, find in all probabiKtv the full dividend will bo paid to the'few who wero lucky enough to participate'in it. ii. J. Mason left Inst evening for Trcntham with Einperador Xones and Banksia. They havo all been doiiK' good work of late, and should not r«£ turn unsuccessful. Sutala and Bimeter, two other members of Mason's string, are already at Trentham, as they were left there on the wav from Auckland. .
.Our Dunedm correspondent telecraphed last evening:—Palisade and Sister Radius, in charge of G; HeWhurn. and acconipnnied by tho jockeys J. Olson and J. Stonnell, will leave for Melbourne on Wednesday by tho "Wimmora. It is intended to race them at the V.R.C and A.J.C. Autumn Meetings. Mr l! C. Hazlett will leave for Melbourne about tho end of the month.
