BRITISH CAPTAIN'S STORY
(Received January 11th. 9.15 p.m.) LONDON, January 11.
Captain "VVillett, of tlio steamer Newbridge, which was sunk in order to block the Konigsberg escaping from the Rufiji river in East Africa, has arrived in England. He states that the Germans skilfully concealed tho Konigsberg among palms, and she was not discovered until tho British obtained an aeroplane which dropped smoke bombs revealing tho Konigsberg's position. The llritish then ehelled the ship and sank her.
Captain TVillett believes that the Ivonigsberg's crew perished with her.
