DUNSANDEL.
Rain commenced to fall at Dunsandei on Friday night, and continued on until by mid-day on Sunday nearly 2| inches of rain had fallen. The turnip and rape crops will be much benefited by the rain, which will also help the wheat and oat crops to fill out. Although feed for stock seems to be very scarce, the sheep and lambs are doing remarkably well. About twenty-five trucks of the latter were railed to the freezing works from Dunsandel lasi week. The lambs are a splendid sample, and they brought a very high price.
Harvesting in general will not commence for about ten days to a- fortnight yet. A few paddocks of barley and early oats have been reaped.
At present there seems to be no dearth of labour in the country. Between twenty and thirty men looking for harvest- work have passed through Dunsandel during the week.
