EXPERT OPINION.
(Received January 11th, 12.20 a.m.) SYDNEY, January 10.
A statement issued by the Meat Industries Board, after dealing with the causes leading to the advance in the price of meat, including an augmented population, increasing areas devoted to wheat-growing, dairying, and drought and war dennands, predicts a return to normal conditions, but adds: "With a meat-hungry world and Australia becoming th© chief source of supply, cheap meat has become a thing of the past."
Ag a result of the extreme prices, butchers report a heavy decline in the demand for meat.
