Sir,—lt does seem straugo that with so many warnings which members of the Licensed Victuallers' Association have received from time to time, there should be found publicans willing to risk their licenses by permitting bookmakers to operate, on the premises. At on© timo the Association employed an inspector, but I suppose from th© apparently open 'manner in which tbo "bookies" carried on business, thero is now uo such officer. —Yours, etc.. VIGILANT.
