ELLESMERE.

The annual picnic, in connexion with the E.iesn>ere Methodist Church and Sunday School was held at "Hadstock," tho property of Mr William Chamberlain, last Saturday. Most of tho families in the district round about Ellesmere were represented, the attendance being unusually large. Mr Chamberlain placed his fin© grounds and orchard a- the disposal of the picnic party, and mado every effort to give them a very pleasant and enjoyable outing. Cricket and other games were indulged in by the young folk, while the older people participated in other forms of amusement. Ideal weather prevailed, and the picnic was held under mo£)t favourable circumstances.
