The rose show of tlio Kaiapoi Horticultural Society wae held on Samrday, but tho exhibits of blooms wore not such, as might have been cxpeci-eri. All tfco local exhibitors had reason to complain of tha October frosts and November dry winds. Nevertheless, on the whole, therv w;ie a. fair show. The «iands were we , .! displayed in tho Drill Hail, and in the evening there waa a fair attendance of tho niiblic. ileesrs W. Ellen and H. A. Cooper were exhibitors of "sr<xual s'.unds.
