FENDALTON UNIT.

A meeting.was held in the FendaTion Schoolroom lasfc night to receive further enrolments to the Fendalton Unit. There was a largo attendance present, and Captain Helruoro presided. Some twenty new names wero enrolled, and tho unit is now composed of six sections, with a strength of over one hundred. Resolutions wero passed levying a small subscription on members of tho unit, recommending the Central Exocn-' tivo to take into consideration the question of uniforms and badges, and deciding to.hold weekly drills at Hagley Park on Wednesday nights. A very enthusiastic vote of thanks was accorded Major Murphy for his services as drill instructor of the unit, and the hope was expressed that Major Murphy would still bo able to find time to continue to help the unit in that way.
