The flour market is very tight and complaints are mado that'deliveries cannot he promised. It is not claimed that thero is a scarcity, as local millers hold good supplies of wheat. Oate aro vory firm, and up to 2s dd at country stations has been paid for A grade, and 2s "d for B grade at country stations. Oatsheaf chaff is also firmer, and up to £3 6s is Quoted fro prime quality at country stations. The anticipated lightness of the growing crop of oats iis expected to keep the price of oapsheaf chaff iirm diirmg the ensuing season. A good rain would, however, make a considerable difference to botn the oats and wheat crops, as they have cot yet suffered to any great exter.t, except on very light land, as they have received benefit from tho showers that fell during-the month. . Potatoes nave further advanced, and are now quoted at £3 5s to £3 10s per ton at country stations. Tho undermentioned are the prices paid to farmers at country stations, free of commission, sacks extra, excepting where otherwise stated: — Wheat (nominal) —Milling, 5s 3d, f.o.b. Oate (nominal) —A grade, 2s 8d to 2s 9d; B grade, 2s to 2e 7d. Barley—Nominal. Cocksfoot —Bright and heavy samples !up to 4Jd, average 3Jd. White Clover—9d to 10d. Flour—£l3 f.0.b., 1001b bags £13 10s, 5001b bags £13 las, 25 bags £14. Bran—£4 los per ton, local. Pollard —£6 10s per ton. Oatmeal —£15 per ton. Oatsheaf Chaff—£3 os for prime, and £3 for f. a.q. samples. Potatoes—£2 10s to £2 15s per ton. Peas—Partridge, 4s 4d to 4s 6d: Bluo Imperial (nominal), 3s 6d.
