(Received November 27th. 8.40 p.m.) SYDNEY, November 27. The half-yearly report of the Bank of New South Wales shows a net profit of £246,323. Owing to the war, cash and coin balances havo oeen increased, as under:—London £1,600,000, Australasia £SOO.OOO. Tho note circulation in New Zenlnnd hns been slichtly increased. Tho Dominion Governments measures for relieving the financial stringency, by enlarging the use of individual 'bank-notes, has proved satisfactory. The bank was never in n bettor position to meet the unexpected state' of affairs. The balance available was £315,729. including £G9.405 brought forward. A dividend of 10 per cent, was declared. £50,000 addnd +o tbo reserve., and £90.729 carried forward.
