On appeal, Mr Justice Cussen reduced tho wages of clerks in Melbourne, excepting in the Metropolitan area, as fixed by tho Wages Board in August last. The wages of women, whose pay was fixed e<qual to that of men, have also been varied. Tho body of a middle-aged Japanese was found buried in tho sand at Fishermen's Bend, Port Melbourne. Shot and other wounds wero found on the head, aud the indications aro that a, brutal murder has been committed. Apparently tho body was only buried tho previous day.
