METROPOLITAN MEETING
GOLD CUP DAY.
The Metropolitan Meeting of the Canterbury Jockey Club will be concluded to-morrow, when tho G. G. Stead Memorial Gold Cup will corae up for decision. This raco has attracted a grand field, including the three fillies who filled the places last year, and First Flight, Balboa, Reputation aud Indigo. Autumnus, Rinaldo, and Fabrikoff also stand their ground, and this should be ono of the most brilliant contests that has as yet taken place for the coveted trophy. Large acceptances have beeu received for the other events on the card, the smallest field being eleven in the Pioneer Handicap. The following is tho day's programme:—
