Batoe, Government Meteorologist, supplied tho following weather summary and forecast at 5 p.m. yesterday:— A sqtiall area paeeed in ' the-south on Sunday night, but fair to cloudy weather hae ruled to-day, with moderate to- etrongr northerly -winds generally. The barometer is above normal,' especially in the north. Present indications aro for freshening northerly and westerly winds generally, with fair to cloudy weather, warm in East Coast districts, but showery in Wcet Coast and Southern districts. The barometer hoa ? falling tendency, especially in tho south.
