A LONG VOYAGE
EXPERIENCES OF ZIETEN'S PASSENGERS. (Received November 10th, 1..5 a.m.) LONDON, November D. Mr Sheppard, of .Australia, who was a.passenger by tho Zicton, has landed at, Liverpool. Ho reports .that about two days from Aden the passengers found themselves goin£ east, and enquired tho reason, and -.vere told that owiug to- European complications they wero going to Sokotra. Martial Jauwas proclaimed aboard. Lights ■were put out after dark. The KonigsJberg convoyed tho Zieten and tho City of Winchester from Sokotra to tho Persian Gulf, -where tho Konigsberg stripped tho City of Winchester of crew, cargo, coal, 'and fittings. Everything movable was transferred to the Zieten. Afterwards the Konissberg sank 'tho City of Winchester. The Ziptcn, for the purpose of coaling, entered Mozambique . harbour flying tho British flag, and the passengers were kept below for two hours i)revious to arrival. Tho eteainer Beira tool; thorn to Madeira, , and then to Lisbon and they transhipped for England.
[Tho Zieten is a well-known Nord-doutscher-Lloyd vessel trading to Australia. Sbo left Sydney on July Bth, Iremantle on July 19th, and Colombo on July 30th. She had 147 passengers aboard.]
