FIRES.
(PEESS ASSOCIATION , TELEGRAM.) WELLINGTON, November 9. A firo was discovered at 11.30 last night in the Bodega restaurant on Lambton Quay. Before it was suppressed damago to tho extent of some hundreds of pounds was done by the flames, smoke, and water. The fire started in the kitchen on tho ground floor, and travelled up the lift well to the upper storeys. The building is owned by J. H. l-'airbairn, the licensee of the Occidental Hotel, and is insured in the Yorkshire office for £2000. The restaurant is leased by Daniel McFarlane. who has his furniture insured for .£6-50, and the stock fer £100, and the 'Mate glass windows for £40, also in tho Yorkshire Company.
