PAPANUI SCHOOL COMMITTEE.
At the last meeting of tho Papanui school committee there were present Mcasrs Jones (in the chair), Lynsky, Pye, Kettle, Marshall, Driscoll, and Hookham. The use of a room at the main school was granted for a polling booth on election day. The Waimairi County Council wrote, drawing the attention of the committee to the state of tho culvert at tho gate of the echool. It wag decided to forward the letter on to the Board of Education. The headmaster reported that the roll number at the main school was °A 5, average attendance 22,1, sido school 113. and 90 respectively. Mr Lynsky, who is leavin" the district, resigned his position aa a member of the committ-ee.—Accepted with regret.
