Tire High Commissioner reports: — LONDON, November 7. Official:-—The Governor-General of South Africa reports: —''For the last few days things havo been quiet in the Orange Free State. This is attributed to conversations passing between De Wet and other prominent Orange Free State leaders.
"Tho Government desire to avoid unnecessary bloodshed, and have refrained from any provocative attitude while tho conversations are in progress.''
