The market shows signs of weakness owing to tho arrival of this season's Australian, which is soiling at Old ; Canterbury, two's. 6jd; heavy-weight, 6|d; other than Canterbury, 6 1-Gd for light-weight; quotation nominal.

Beef—New Zealand hinds, G}d ; fores. /53d. Thoro is. a moderate* supply of chilled beef this week. Chilled hinds, 6d. fores, old.

Butter —Tho market is easier. Danish, elotv, at 134s to 138: Siberian, quiet, at 118s to 1225: Australian, quiet, at 12k to 1265; Irish creamery, dull, at 122s to 12Ss; Argentine, &low, 120s to 1245.

Cheeso—The markot is quiet. The Canadian market is quiet; white and coloured, 85s and 765. English prices aro firm, with a fair demand at 82* to Btis.

Hemp—The market is dull, with a downward tendency. There is little demand. New Zealand good to fair grade, £22 10s; fair grade. £21; fair current Manila. £i! 3 10s. Tho output from Manilii for the week was 20,000 bales.

Wheat—Tho market is firm, with httlo business doing. Australian, 45e c.i.f.

Oats—Tho market is firm. New Zealand Gartotis, 20s 6d, ex store. Boans —The market je firm, with more enquiry. New Zealand beans, f.a.q., (new crop) per 5041b 35s Cd. Peas—The market is quiet. Now Zealand pea* (Partridge), per 5041b GOs.

Kauri gum—The market is very quiet, with nothing doing. Dark'brown selected, rescraped, 140s; dark brown, 345; rescraped. 90s; dark brown chips, drossy, 42 S Gd; rescraped pale amber, £12 10s; three-quarter pale scraped, £9; digger chips, good, 655.
