RIFLE SHOOTING.
VETERANS' CLUB. The Veterans' Defence Rifle Club and the Ladiefe' Veterans' Rifle Club held competitions for prizes on Labour Day on the Redcliffs rifle range. There was a good attendance of both chibo. The men fired over the 700, 300, 900, and lOOOyda, seven shots at each. The highest score off th© rifle was 125 out of a possible i4O, made by Rifleman F. S. Iloadley. The prizes wero tor scores with handicap. Tho ladies fired with the miniature rifle over 20 and 25yds. seven shots at each. Prizes were ' given for scores with handicap. Miss Clark being top scorer.' Tho following are the prize-lists: — Men's Club—G. Peek 1. F. G. Hoadley 2, C. Smith 3, W. McCausland 4, W. Koss 5, B.
