The second stage in a movement for tho defence of tho -Dominion, which may havo far-reaching results, was begun at tho King Edward Barracks last night, when between -300 and GOO members of the Christchurch Defence Organisation, formed on Tuesday night, assembled for their first --parade. „Mr George Harper announced that the committee had decided to form a Christclmrciv Defence , Organisation, which, in older to conform with tlie regulations of tho Defence Act, would be organised in the shape of a ItiJlo Club. The Minister of 'Defence would be approached to recognise tho organisation, and application would be made for tho
