PAHIATUA, JuLy 16. An inquest was held on Frank Charles Key, traveller for Messrs Reid and Gray, who was fatally injured in a motor-cycle accident at Mangatainoka. One witness thought deceased was travelling, at the rate of twentyfive to thirty miles an hour. The machine seemed to wobble. Other evidence showed that the road was clear, but greasy, and the machine probably skidded. Deceased was thrown several feet, and injured internally. A verdict of accidental death was returned. ELTHAM, July 16. Albert Henry Johnston, 39 years, while working on a Government *roading contract at Omoana, on Tuesday, was struck by a gelignite blasting charge. He succumbed to his injuries to-day.
