At tho Comroitte© 6tago on the Finance Bill, Mr Lloyd iHeorge announced that the Government proposed to abolish the distinction between settled and unsettled property established by tho Finance Act of 1904. (Received July 17th, 10.85 p.m) LONDON, July 16. In committee on the Finance Bill, the House agreed io Mr Lloyd George's new clause making husband and wife each responsible for their respective shares of tho income tax, and preventing distraint on tho husband'a goods tor-non-payment of tho wife's tax.
