RISE IN MEAT.
SYDNEY BUTCHER'S ALLEGATIONS. (By CabU.—Press Association.—Copyright.) SYDNEY, July 11. A leading city butcher declares that Sydney consumers are paying at least 25 per cent, more than they should for meat owing to the operations of the canning companies, including the American Meat Company in Brisbane. He claims that these companies are not only unfairly competing against the local carcase butchers, but are jeopardising the City's meat supply and forcing prices up to an artificial limit.
